About Thread & Ink
Thread & Ink is located in Holmesville, OH and serves local schools, businesses, law enforcement, fire & ems, and more. We love working through the ordering and the designing process with our clients, building business relationships to assure their final product brings their visions to life.
Thread & Ink was formerly Action Accessories. Action Accessories started in 2003, with a single embroidery machine and grew to serve communities statewide during their 20 years in business. After working for the business for 2 years, Justine Casey had the opportunity to purchase the business in 2022, thus Thread & Ink was born.
“I started with Action Accessories as their graphic designer & screen printer.” Justine says. “From my first day there, I fell in love with the people, the atmosphere, and the job itself. I truly found the job of my dreams, doing what I love. After my first week there, I remember telling my husband and parents that I would love to own this business one day.”
Action Accessories was all about personal relationships, communication, and making sure the products their clients received were exactly what they envisioned. Thread & Ink strives to continue the legacy of Action Accessories, making sure we provide the best quality products, customer service, and an overall great experience while continuing to grow the business.
About the Owner
Hi There! I am Justine Casey, owner at Thread & Ink.
I am a Dalton graduate with degrees in Business Management, Informational Design, and Wildlife Resource Management.
I have an absolute passion and love for art! Growing up, art was always a hobby of mine. I was always drawing, creating, crafting, and sculpting. I never thought I could turn my hobby into a career without getting burnt out. Turns out, I was completely wrong! The saying goes, “If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life,” and I couldn’t agree more. Every day is a fun, new adventure where I get to design, create, print, and everything else in between.
Aside from art, my other passion is the outdoors. My husband and I enjoy traveling, hiking, and just enjoying nature. We have traveled to 13 different states and 19 National & State Parks across the US (and counting). During our time off we enjoy working on house projects, camping, and spending time with our family and friends.
Being a business owner is definitely new to me, but it’s been an enjoyable experience with so much personal growth and gained knowledge. I have come to learn the excitement of running and growing a business by finding new opportunities that can push us one step further. The custom apparel business is all about being up on the latest trends, promoting new items to set you apart from competitors, and being able to turn your clients’ visions into reality.
The challenges and obstacles that we face make us learn and grow from every experience. I have always enjoyed learning new things, problem solving, and pushing myself to be better than I was yesterday. It has been awesome to build relationships with my clients – listening to their stories, taking their advice, and experiencing their reactions to our final products exceeding their expectations. That said, I can’t take all the credit. I couldn’t do this without my team here at Thread & Ink. They are full of creativity and knowledge and work hard on every project we receive.
No matter what I am doing, I love to see the outcome of my hard work. With any obstacle, design, or project that comes my way I pour my heart and soul into every little detail.
It’s been an amazing journey so far with meeting new clients and friends, building business relationships, and creating custom apparel for my communities.
